“Big Day Weddings” – it’s a name we came up with ages ago, which really means us: David and Joanna 🙂
We specialise in relaxed, natural and editorial inspired photography, with a dash of epic thrown in for those who love that look. Our coverage can be laid back and unobtrusive, or more upfront if you like. That’s absolutely your choice – always.
As a couple ourselves (married at good old Islington Town Hall) we capture images to both thrill you, and stand the test of time. Basically, the kind of photos that we wanted for our own wedding day! We document everything, everyone, and every moment we possibly can.
You’ll get great natural, candid, and striking images in every venue, day or night, with no awkward posing, and spontaneous meaningful moments guaranteed.

I knew we would be walking from the chapel to the reception, so I pre scouted every little street and turn along the way, and I was delighted to find these multi-coloured doors. I think many couples, given the chance, would love to have a Windsor Guildhall Wedding. K and D came all the way from America to have their special day there, and what a day it was too. In the shadow of Windsor Castle and in the beautiful town of the same name, it’s an iconic venue, and of course where King Charles and Queen Camilla chose to get married. After confetti and some couples shots we all took a chartered boat down the Thames to the lovely Riverside Marquee at Bray On Thames.
This was on my “Full with David Package” and a few weeks later I delivered just under 1300 edited images to them. I’ve put some of my favourites here in no particular order.

We have extensive experience of multiple venues around the country, and work in all the popular central London wedding locations i.e. Camden, Westminster, Clerkenwell, Islington, Knightsbridge and Chelsea to highlight just some of the more familiar ones. We photograph regularly at the Dorchester, Landmark, Claridges and Savoy Hotels, right through to unique and quirky venues for ceremonies and receptions like London Zoo, Lord’s Cricket Ground, The Gherkin, Trinity Buoy Wharf, The London Eye and Tower Bridge. We are at the big London registry venues multiple times a year, especially Islington Town Hall on Upper Street, Chelsea Old Town Hall on the iconic Kings Road, and last but certainly not least Old Marylebone Town Hall near Baker Street.
We are professionally trained, fully insured and accredited members of the major trade bodies including the SWPP Europe’s largest.
Since we started we have been premier Civil Partnership and London Gay Wedding Photographers, with many of the boroughs in the capital having their first such ceremonies shot by ourselves.
